Harrogate Convention Centre is a multipurpose complex containing several entertainment venues. With around 2,000 seats, the main auditorium is famous for hosting the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest. Check out the varied program and choose from the many shows across the center’s eight halls.
Attend a dance recital or orchestral performance in the main auditorium. The Exhibition Halls have a capacity of up to 1,600, while the 600-seater Queens Suite provides a more intimate setting. See popular musicians on a stage that has been graced by Chris Rea and Van Morrison among others. Famous comedians that have performed here include Jimmy Carr and Russell Brand.

See an artistic performance in the 978-seater Edwardian Royal Hall, with its gold-leaf interior and artistic ceiling. After attending a performance, stay the night at a choice of hotels surrounding the convention center. The complex is also popular for trade events, upscale banquets and other entertainment shows.
Consider the intriguing history of the building, which stands on the former site of the 19th-century Spa Rooms. The Royal Hall opened in 1903, as Harrogate began to host more international events. Note that the complex’s largest auditorium first opened in 1982, the same year that it hosted the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Harrogate Convention Centre is on the northern edge of Harrogate city center. Walk north from Harrogate railway station for less than 10 minutes to reach the arena. Nearby attractions include the Mercer Art Gallery, Royal Pump Room Museum and Harrogate Theatre.
