"It was nice staying there. Apartment was spacious, modern and well equiped. Manager Bruce and reception staff was very nice. House keeping was not good though. They didn’t clean room daily or when they did not properly. Overall it was a good experience."

The entire place felt damp, and I spotted visible mold stains on the ceiling. I had to leave immediatel and book another place because staying here was simply not an option. Do yourself a favor and avoid this listing—it’s not worth the risk to your health! "

Although a little west of the old quarter, the location was overall good as it was still close to other tourist attractions and it was nestled in a nice spot where you couldn't hear motorbikes from the room. I really liked the feel of the room. It was clean and easy to keep cool and the beds was very comfortable. The owner was also very helpful and unobtrusive."

"A really beautiful boutique hotel set in a convenient location in the historic old quarter. The room was not large but we received an upgrade with a balcony. What stood out about the hotel is the tasteful and beautiful Vietnamese decor and the service which is top notch. The staff could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend."

"My family of 4 stayed in this lovely hotel twice, during our 16 days in VietNam. The staff, including the front desk Anna ,Angela and the doormen/ porters were extremely helpful. They gave us advice on where to eat, tours available, etc. Most helpful was allowing us to leave our luggage with them, when we took side trips to SaPa and Halong Bay. It relieved our anxiety, and everything was fine when we came back. Daily breakfast was very good, and rooms are spacious and clean. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel."

" A beautiful hotel in the middle of the French quarter, easy walking distance to lake and cathedral. All the staff were so accommodating and also welcoming. Breakfast is not to be missed !! "The staff in Solaria are a dream (especially Lily)! What a fantastic experience it was. No question or request was too little or too much for them and they gave us tips for our Ha Long Bay cruise. They helped organize our airport transfers; we had checked out a day before our cruise and they were happy to store our luggage while we were away (they even gave us some fruit and water for the journey to the marina). When we came back, we had a city tour and we were able to freshen up in their shower room and when I decided to get a facial, they honoured the guest spa discount event though we were technically no longer guests. Amazing! The bed was a little firm for our personal preference and they got a mattress topper for us. MIAs restaurant downstair was also fantastic! We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Hanoi - it's a small boutique hotel that packs a great punch and makes you feel like VIPs. This is hands down the top, most hospitable hotel we have ever had the pleasure to experience, and would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Hanoi. "
