I cannot comment on the rest of our stay, due to their system error our reservation was cancelled, unsure if this was the motel or Expedia for this error. It was such a shame because we were so looking forward to our stay. Our visit to hanmer spring jet boating and the pool was great, but alpine lodge let us down.

Lou and his wife very welcoming.. hapoy ti have a chat and inform us a little of Hamner Springs history. The alpine cottage was charming clean and comfortable. We enjoy ed our spring experience of the day, foid at local hotel and was happy to sit and watch a Netflix movie on the couch. Thank you fir our lovely stay .

Lively staff, comfy beds. Shower was leaking , carpet wet and smelt bad. Could do with bathroom window opening locks, no fan to expell steam so only option is opening window which opened right out, so unsafe to leave open and neighbour's can see right in.

Lovely place to stay. Has a good vibe to it. Slightly old though - the bathroom could do with a little makeover and the kitchen could do with a few more pots and pans. But overall is great value for money. Will happily stay here again.

An older motel which has been well maintained & is kept clean. The bathroom & carpet show their age. It is extremely well sited for walking to both hot pools & shop. The manageress / owner is very friendly & welcoming. A plug in the bathroom sink would be helpful to wash dishes in the studio unit. The walls between units are paper thin & I was grateful to have quiet, considerate neighbours. However this would be a major problem otherwise.
