"The lodge and location was outstanding. Situated on Heron Lakes looking across one of the 6 lakes on site with stunning views. Great location to get to the coast and plenty to do on site with walked, bike trails and of course fishing! Great short break away and will be staying here again. "Liked the grounds and tranquility. Dining room was shut for 3days of our stay for refurbishment. Opened on 4th day and food was excellent . Room beverages and milk were not testocked during our stay"
"Read all reviews thought it can't be that bad well to be honest it is but we paid around £50 for a Saturday night so what do you want it does say budget hotel so that's what you get good location though and quiet would not return or recommend though "

"We stayed here for a couple of nights for a long weekend exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The location is great, being close to a few larger towns like Driffield and Pocklington, but also close to some amazing walking including a stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The room was really lovely, the staff friendly, and the food and beer fantastic. We will definitely stay again when we're next out this way! "
