"Only one thing - Need to fix the sign on the on road turning into the Hotel. We have to circle around several times to find the small road leading up to the hotel entrance. If the Nikko Hotel sign was there, it would be SOOOO much easier for us to find it."

"I will preface this review with that I went just after Super Typhoon Yagi. The hotel suffered a lot of damage and large parts of the hotel were closed off entirely. I know the resort would've suffered a lot financially because of this, but as a guest I was left a little miffed that I paid full price for part of the experience. I would've been more than happy if the resort recognised a few things were out of order and chucked in a few freebies like a massage or drinks vouchers. After all they had more than enough staff around. On the staff they were great and accommodating for our needs but kept asking to give them a good review on trip advisor and name them, they're obviously incentivised to get good named reviews. All this being said the resort was wonderful, great food, stunning location and views, it capped off the most memorable trip for us. We would definitely recommend!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Moon Boutique Hotel! The staff was wonderful and helped arrange our travel to and from the hotel from Hanoi. The hotel is tucked away in the middle of town and all of the action, but our room was beautiful and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. The town and residents were still recovering from Typhoon Yagi which struck in September, but the resilence of the people and their positive vibes transcended the physical damage to the area. The beach are was undergoing restoration while we were there in October, but I would guess that it would be back to normal sometime in November. We definitely want to come back to spend more time in Cat Ba as we only had two and a half days there. We will certainly stay again at the Moon Boutique!"

" We recently stayed at this hotel with our two young kids (3 and 1 years old), and despite the challenges of traveling with little ones, this place was fantastic. The hotel was incredibly clean and had a charming, cute atmosphere. The staff were also amazing—very friendly and helpful, with most of them speaking English, which made everything so much easier. The beach was a bit disappointing as it was quite dirty, but the swimming pools more than made up for it—they were awesome! The views from the hotel were stunning, and we really enjoyed the food. The breakfast buffet was especially great, with plenty of delicious options to start the day. One thing that was a bit concerning was the hotel-arranged driver to take us back to Hanoi airport. Unfortunately, the experience was awful. The driver didn’t speak any English, and we were genuinely scared as he kept falling asleep at the wheel. It was a very unnerving experience, and I would expect the hotel to organise a more professional driver, at the very least one with a basic level of English. Overall, though, we had a great stay, and the hotel was lovely but I’d suggest organizing transport independently next time."

"It’s a wonderful place for vacation, very nice room and comfortable, good buffet breakfast, nice Gym, hot tub, nice steam room, nice sauna, very private room separate room for Men, separate for women. Hugh swimming pool, Separate for children area. Good delicious buffet breakfast with many choices. A must stay. "I checked out September 25th so this is a review of the hotel as Cat Ba recovers from the typhoon. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The sky at and pool were damaged in the typhoon and were being repaired. Overall a good place to stay. "
