Our room was nice and spacious, the staff were mostly friendly and helpful and the view is beautiful. However, the whole cruise was very rushed, we were herded around like cattle, along with dozens of other tour groups to the same tourist spots, with very little time to relax. Very little time to spend in our room and then we were kicked out before 10am and so had a couple of hours to wait on the boat where we couldn't enjoy our room and had to squish into the communal areas. Weather was rainy and there was no covered area outside. Have to pay for ALL drinks including coffee, juice, which were expensive and the staff serve drinks at meals as though they are included. Food was ok, plenty of it but definitely not to the standard that you can usually get in Vietnam - lots of fried food and not really traditional Vietnamese. Also, at the beginning the staff tried to take my son's passport off the boat without explaining what they were doing. They said it was for a ticket or insurance or something but it seemed suspicious to me. My husband and I refused to leave without it and demanded it back. They also tried to put us in a regular double room at first when we paid (handsomely) for a triple and it was only after some very firm statements from us that we wouldn't accept less than what we paid for that they moved us to our correct room.
Company of other tourists was good and while there were some enjoyable aspects overall it was expensive and not relaxing. I will not go again.
