"This nicely located apartment could do a bit better. But let's start with the good things: a kingsize bed with a good quality matras and the fact that the owner was willing to meet our (extra) requirements. Check-in also went smoothly. "Very nice view. Hotel is in good condition. Room was ok for the price, although the TV was not working properly. AC seemed to have only one low temperature setting and the blanket was way too thin to be comfortable in the night. The food at the restaurant needs to improve a lot. Very greasy food. Given that the hotel is far from the city and there are no nearby food options, hotel restaurant needs to offer better quality food. Oil was dripping from some of the food offered! Overall however, it was a pleasant stay. "

Incredible stay - 100% recommend this place!

"When you arrive the door opens to a magnificent view of the pool and the river behind it. The staff was great, the food was probably our favorite during the first part of our trip. Would highly recommend this place. Make sure to visit the Temple of the Tooth and try out some local fruits!"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Kandy House. Its location outside the central area allowed us to have a tranquil and restful break from the hustle of the city. Yet, we were still within about a 10 minute drive of the Kandy Lake area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly roomy. The onsite restaurant was delicious and offered a range of choices for the set menu. The property itself was gorgeous and impeccably maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!"

"We loved our stay at this resort. The drive up was pretty intense as it’s out the way, so we didn’t spend loads of time in the accommodation but wow the views were incredible morning & evening looking out to the river!! Food was nice, staff very friendly. They had dogs on site which were very friendly also. Can be very noisy throughout the night with dogs howling and birds."
