Country Hearth Inn, Gulf Coast hotels

"Stayed here for several days, the room had a weird smell to it but could not determine the cause of the smell, when mentioned to staff was told it was the cleaning products. Pillows are lumpy so suggest bringing your own. Overall the experience was decent . The hotel has a restaurant and bar in the lobby that I would recommend visiting . The area in witch the hotel was located was clean and felt safe. With consideration of the smell I would give it another shot in the future."

"This is a very old hotel, the beds were less than satisfactory, the room smelled of a mixture between chemicals and smoke and I definitely would not have stayed had I been traveling alone. Thankful, it was just an overnight stay to catch an early morning flight. No WiFi service offered. "

"Great location, can walk across street to beach and also to many restaurants and to the Pleasure pier. Room is large and love the balcony. They all look to beach. Beds were comfortable and AC worked great. It was a very nice stay. "

"Valet could use a little more ability to converse and help with loading and unloading. Instead of always running back to their phones I tip 5$ or more for each interaction and it didn’t seem like they were at work for their positions. They were nice don’t get me wrong just not attentive to customers. Restaurant understaffed. But waitress extremely good at her job. Didn’t feel welcomed when arrive in side. Seem to have to ask front desk questions they should have already put forth effort to do. Wasn’t a long stay There was one gentleman that went beyond his usual job to help with my items up to room. I believe he was a higher up guy. Very nice. Made my day No carts were available Over good stay ?"

"We decided to stay at the Golden Host Resort based on the many, many 5 star reviews and were a bit disappointed. Our room was very clean and the bed was Super Comfortable. We asked for an extra blanket and pillow and this was provided instantly. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked refreshing with a nice grassy area surrounding it and plenty of chaise lounges to relax. With that said, reviews talked about this hotel’s retro vibe. Other than the blue retro mini fridge and microwave, the room and setting were average, ordinary, but sufficient. If you’re looking for a clean simple place to stay, the Golden Host hotel is great. If you’re seeking a unique, unusual, retro vibe, you might be disappointed. "

"If you have shellfish allergy they cannot accommodate you at any restaurant except the pizza during the day. For dinner they can. So just know hanging at the pool or beach you will need to go else where for food. Our toilet overflowed twice, the room with double bed is actually the size of a single room. The beach is nice and the beach staff too. The jacuzzi is a perfect temperature to relax. Not the most terrible but way over priced for quality of room etc"
