"We arrived late at night about midnight by taxi from the airport. Security guard and desk attendant attentive but, no bottled water available for room at hotel or near by. We had reservations but no towels or soap in room. security guard went down the street and bought us a bottle of water and returned with towels. We had called from USA to tell them our flight was coming in at midnight and was told there was no problem with that. Anytime was fine with them. The neighborhood was not somewhere...

"The area is historically old. The hotel is charmingly Victorian. I am not sure why it’s listed as a river view room as buildings and tress make it impossible. "
