"We arrived late at night about midnight by taxi from the airport. Security guard and desk attendant attentive but, no bottled water available for room at hotel or near by. We had reservations but no towels or soap in room. security guard went down the street and bought us a bottle of water and returned with towels. "When you get to the Equator you will be greeted by cockroaches at some point. Sadly there was a small one on one of the beds. Otherwise, the place was clean and the breakfast was fantastic. For the price, I was happy. "

"There is no need to stay here unless you really need to be in the centre of Guayaquil, which is not particularly pleasant. It is rather dirty, noisy and a bustling commercial area.
