Stayed at Goldstar because I had a Volleyball tournament at Foxwoods.We stay here every year for the tournament. Foxwoods is only 15 min away. Rooms are large. The staff is super friendly. We were on the 2nd floor & second night someone was blasting music on 1st floor. I called front desk & they addressed the issue instantly. Wish they had a continental breakfast...

If you are looking for a run down place to stay this is it. The shower had very low pressure and looked like the pipe was going to fall out of the wall. There is only heat in the bedroom not the living room. The front of the kitchen cabinet fell off while we were sitting across the room.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. What a waste of money I had to cancel my reservation and go elsewhere. I can’t believe Expedia has this hotel on your website. It doesn’t even deserve a star. Heater was broken. Staff was rude. Room was dirty. Towels were very dingy . TV was old and and the microwave looked like it was one of the first ones that were ever made . room smell like pure smoke even though I had a non-smoking room . hallway was freezing so was my room . door wouldn’t lock had to put a coffee table in front of it area is very unsafe.

This was a great place for my husband and I to stay the night after foxwoods. Our room was huge, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. It was clean, and overall I’d come back and stay again. It’s definitely dated, but it was clean enough for me to sleep without getting the hebbie jeebeze. We even had a walk out slider and could park right outside which made for easy unpacking.

I so wanted to love this place and the price was really inexpensive, but once we arrived, realized why and cannot understand their 7.2 rating. There are no cranks on the windows, The walls were dirty and cracked. The outlet plugs were all lifted and raised from the walls. It was more heartbreaking than anything because it is a beautiful property that is just severely in need of cleaning, updating, care and maintenance. I have photos to share, but I’ve been unable to upload here.

Thankfully it was just one night and it was for my husband I. If we had our kids with us we absolutely would not have stayed… the only good thing was that that had a pretty Christmas tree in the lobby. So to start… the only words that the lady at the front desk said to us were “sign” as she flung all the papers at us from behind the window and she was not happy when I asked for my license back… easy mistake but a smile would have been nice. The elevator smelled terrible! The doors to the rooms all look like they were kicked in at one point. Our door didn’t even have half of the lock that latches. The door to the back parking lot didn’t lock… so tha made us feel real safe… There were dead bugs in the bathroom, a hole in the bathroom wall that was filled with toilet paper. There were half smoked cigarettes in the room. Graffiti on the wall. Only one tv worked.. in black and white and it was “snowy” as my grandmother would say so you couldn’t even see what you were watching. The sinks both gave you a shower when you turned them on and we could only get cold water out of them. The towels all had some sort of black stains on them… And we were extremely disappointed that the main reason we chose this hotel was for the jacuzzi tub which we didn’t even use bc it was filthy and looked to be falling apart!
