A note that it was very quiet in Royan and considered out of season ( our whitsun week off school) therefore it was hard to get a meal later than 7 and their was practically nobody around! "We were greeted very warmly and check in was very efficient. There is no lift but the very helpful man at reception offered to carry out bags. I had a room with a terrace that was perfect, the terrace is huge, bed very comfortable and the bathroom looked newly renovated. The breakfast was fine but a little bit overpriced for a modest continental breakfast, pastries fantastic though. My room did not have a fridge but my friend was in a newer room and it did have one.
