"Lovely hotel in the heart of La Rochelle. We had a room in the annexe which was good because at the time there were extensive renovations taking place to the exterior of the main building which was shrouded in green fabric. Internally it was renovated I believe last year to a very high standard and was modern whilst retaining many original features. "The hotel is conveniently located near to the bus terminal so making it ideal for arrival & departure from airport. We loved the central location with everything a short stroll away incl shops, cafes & quay etc. Staff were very welcoming & helpful when needed. "This is one of our favourite hotels and was our fourth time staying there. The location is excellent- right in the centre of town- but peaceful. "The door didn't close without us slamming it, some staff were very friendly but others were quite rude and didn't tell us when the breakfast buffet moved next door until we came downstairs and reception was locked so we knocked until someone answered.
