"On arrival it took almost an hour to check in, when I asked why it was taking so long I was informed that the room I booked was not available. i was finally given a room but although I was told it was like for like, it was not in the main hotel and was quite far from the restaurants and entertainment area. I will make sure my booking is confirmed in the main hotel building next time."

"Staff were friendly, room was clean and bright, good air con, no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. Lovely gardens, lots of birds/chickens, good selection of food, but breakfast lacked "hot" food, bacon and sausages regularly cold. Nice freshly cooked omelettes. Lack of english spoken and menu translations, thank goodness for google translate. Rooms were serviced every day and there was an option for fresh towels and sheets if required. The access road is very poor and regularly floods...

The food for breakfast left much to be desired, and the dinner options were very limited: either a tired buffet or a pleasant cafe at the water's edge with limited food options. In our room: No light bulbs in a floor lamp; Balcony sliding door could not lock; Safe not working due to dead and corroded batteries; Keycard not working, had to use physical key; Only one bedside lamp worked. "Staff was very friendly, accommodations were clean and neat, appliances worked perfectly, pool and hot tub were clean everyday. Great location to see Basse-Terre island. Free parking for your rented car (which you will need to see the island). We were in a Studio with a kitchenette. Bigger grocery store was about 20 minutes away. only 15 minutes to Deshae (where they filmed Death in Paradise). We had a great time."
