Everything was nice (though we are in our 70’s and the bed mattress was a little too firm for us!) and we highly recommend making the hotel your home base while in Barcelona. "Hotel Monegal is in the heart of Barcelona. It’s right on Las Ramblas, the street that doesn’t sleep and next to the metro. The front desk staff were very friendly. They have luggage storage. The room was quite spacious and clean. Maybe a bit of updating would be nice. The private bathroom was very small. If you are a large person, it wouldn’t work for you. I loved having a balcony looking onto Las Ramblas. The beds were not much to sleep on. They moved around quite a bit. I feel like they need...
