They argued with us that we even had a reservation there and only after insisting several times that we had a reservation did they check and saw we did. They didn’t seem to want us to be there. "Perfect stay. I loved everything about Kars Oteli. The building is one of the few remaining old Russian mansions in Kars, my room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful long outside balcony. The bed was superb. The room had a fridge, kettle and coffee machine, also a cafetière. A good breakfast. Most of all Metin Bey was excellent, he found me a Turkish tour (museums, Ani, lake çıldır) for the next day, and helped with every query. He kindly packed me a good breakfast for the doğu...
