Room and service was very good. Swimming pool and service was excellent. Breakfast service for tea and coffe slow and my tea was only luke warm on one occasion. In general I enjoyed our stay and would return if visiting Gibraltar again.

We stayed at the charming Rock Hotel and were completely satisfied with the experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. There was some road noise, particularly from mopeds, but otherwise I would recommend the hotel as a base from which to explore Gibraltar.

The Rock hotel is a very nice hotel where we stayed for a 3 nights and attended a wedding party reception there. The hotel location is perched on top of a very steep driveway, there is a side path with steps which makes walking up easier, or alternative you get there by taxi. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Restaurant / bar food and drinks were good. We had a lovely sea view room, the view out to the harbour / sea was amazing.

The view from our balcony room was fantastic. The room itself was very clean and spacious. The outside pool was lovely as was the nearby Botanical Gardens. Walking into the town and various marina's and bars was easy but the walk back up the hill to the hotel might be too much for some in which case catch a bus or taxi. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel.

This beautiful historic hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Spain and Gibraltar. The staff service and hotel amenities were excellent. I can’t say enough about the room and view! I could see the cable cars head up to the top of the Rock from my room balcony. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others!

The staff were very friendly and supportive. We arrived late because our B.A. flight was diverted to Malaga but were still able to have dinner. Special mention to Marina who helped us to locate and retrieve missing baggage which B.A. had left at Heathrow. The food was excellent, our room was perfect and the view from our balcony was stunning

Location: up a steep hill a bit of a walk from the city centre, with lovely views over the harbour towards Spain with the Rock behind. Room: clean and a good size, has aircon (that isn't pointing directly at the bed so cools the room nicely without you sleeping in a draft). Balcony was lovely to enjoy, shame the guests in the room next door kept smoking on their balcony, forcing me inside. In room fridge was also welcome, I kept drinks in there to keep cool in the hot weather. Swimming Pool: salt water pool across the road, lovely location with the gardens around and when floating on your back you have a great view of the Rock. Breakfast: could have been better for the price, especially the coffee, but adequate. Overall staff were friendly and welcoming, check-in was easy and they were happy for me to leave my suitcase early and go explore. Checkout I had to wait for the staff to finish their smoke break which was somewhat annoying when you've got a flight to catch.

Absolutely magnificent commanding views of the mediterranean from the rooms, bar and restaurant. Very friendly staff who all spoke both English and Spanish. To my mind it has a lovely sort of golden age of Britain feel to it, which made me quite nostalgic. It's probably fair to say that we had a four, rather than a five star experience overall, but Gibraltar isn't overloaded with very high-end hotels, so I can highly recommend it. If we return to Gibraltar we won't hestitate to return to The Rock.

This is a nice hotel, we really enjoyed our room which had a spectacular view out over the harbor at sunset. It's also worth noting that the bathroom and shower facility was one of the best we've encountered on this trip.

The hotel exterior looks the part, but that's where it stops. The room was nice and spacious and the view from the balcony was good, the phone did not work in our room for the whole of our stay , even though it was reported twice.First night went for a meal in the restaurant and the service and food were very poor, as was the breakfast the next day. There's one member of staff that is worth his wait in gold and that is David

Great views and incredibly clean. Very helpful. Dining at dinner was good but very slow in bar area. First night better than the second. The only improvement to suggest would be manager in dining room. I had to ask for everything and not overly friendly in the bar area. Decided to go elsewhere our third night. Other than that everything was very good.
