"We enjoyed the stay here, there are public and private outdoor onsen. It’s was really amazing as it’s snowing when having the onsen outdoor. The breakfast is nice too and there are free flow of drinks, geeen tea, orange juice and beer at the reception. "

"Stayed two nights, probably the best hotel. So convenient to dining options. Walking distance to old town and morning market. Book the deluxe room. Room was huge with 3 beds and a sofa where u can put a futon if have 4 Guest. Also have space for a table and chairs, I could eat breakfast with my family. But the best was the huge powder room, two person can do makeup side by side at same time. Then the washing machine to do laundry and the microwave oven all in your room. The onsen was super nice too. Love the open air onsen, big and beautiful. Parking for rental car was covered and spacious, glad we didn’t park at open carpark as it was snowing overnight and the next day. I will definitely stay again! "

"If you see this review. Just book it if is within your budget. They take care of everything once you stepped into Gero station. Jus hopped into any Taxi waiting at the station and your retreat begins. We stepped into the inn and didnt think of going any where until our check out time. "

"Restaurant manager does NOT dare to manage noisy diners who were obviously a disturbing to others in the same limited space. Not the right attitude even though the customers are fellow Japanese."

"Bosenkan mean Riverview Inn, and it really offers a fine view of the Hida River. This is a traditional Japanese style place, with tatami mat rooms, nice yukata robes for guests, and a very nice indoor outdoor communal bath. I highly recommend it if you are staying in Gero Onsen, one of Japan's big three famous spas."
