"Nice place to stay in the Black Forest region. Clean comfortable room. Check in was a small challenge due to language barrier, but quickly done. Restaurant food and service was great. There is no elevator to second floor in one building, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the set of stairs. The St Margen cloister museum nearby is a must see for any clock enthusiasts."

"Stayed here, as I had a meeting in the town and my customer recommended this hotel. My room was enormous, and given my late arrival time (after 9pm), the staff in the kitchen (despite it having closed) made food for me as I was starving. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. I didn't check out the gym but if the rooms are anything to go by, this will be one of the best hotel gyms I have been to. Parking was also free, which was a big bonus and plenty of space available."

"I did read mixed reviews on this property - however, if you are properly aware before you book, you will enjoy it. The gasthaus is separate from the pretty building with the restaurant in it. (About 200 yards downhill). You can park at no charge up behind the restaurant but then it is a hike to where your room is. "Perfect for an extended stay! I love the honest grocery store they had and the restaurant was delicious! Plus, you can order bread for the morning. The staff was beyond amazing and friendly!! Also, we love that it was pet friendly but under the bed there was a lot of animal hair. Nice surrounding area, beautiful to walk around and a cute little town. We would definitely stay here again. "Overall overpriced for what you get. Beautiful area but 40 minute drive to Triberg and at least 10 to Titisee-Neustadt. The hotel is charming and traditionally decorated and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Would have eaten dinner there but there were a crazy amount of flies in the restaurant. Most importantly this hotel does NOT have mini golf, fishing or a golf range on site even though these are listed as amenities. Also not sure that they should...

"Very comfortable, very clean and modern rooms. Yet there are heirlooms all over the buildings that you will never see anywhere else. The hotel is quiet and comforting. The restaurant had a great breakfast and dinner options were extensive. All the food was very well prepared. Drink options are exceptional and there is an extensive wine list. All that aside, the staff makes this place. Super nice people, very knowledgeable, and very helpful."
