Friendly and cosy place
Nice location if traveling by car. The Pension is near the highway. It doesn't have Air Conditioning but the tall rooms and natural cooling work. Staff is very helpful and friendly which makes your stay very cosy.

Gorgeous old building. Close to the motorway, so a great location for an overnight stop. Good breakfast with lots of selection. Parts of the room could do with being upgraded. Owing to being on the main road there was a lot of road noise. A set of ear plugs worked great.

The man who greeted us was excellent. He told us about the beer and gave us a 10% coupon for the restaurant across the parking lot. The room we had had a king sized bed, but it was very hard. Not good sleeping for me. No shower, tub with a shower head. Hard for someone bigger to take shower.

Lovely little hotel
A nice little hotel with all the expected conveniences. You definitely need to drive though as this place is not easily accessible by public transport. Please only consider if your parking skills are topnotch as the lots are very tight. However, the hotel manager is very friendly and would likely park your car if you asked me. Two very positive things about this hotel are the free buffet breakfast and the availability of very good restaurants nearby at much better prices than those located in Genoa centre.

This is the place to stay
Great location, spotless room, helpful owner/manager, quirky (beer bottles decor), fantastic restaurant/bar next door, free secure parking and next to a brewery. What more could you possibly need? Stay there soon or forever regret missing the Hotel Albergo Birra.

Very authentic old but updated hotel
Very warm welcome. Very convenient restaurant in micro brewery. It is very quiet area of a small town, so there is not a lot to do. However, it was a great place for one night stay and a very luxurious spread for breakfast. No elevator.

Excellent value for money
Me and my wife stayed at the Albergo Birra hotel after our visit to Genova, and before our short trip to Cinque Terre. The Hotel is a short and simple drive from Gonova (around 20 minutes), and is ideal for a visit to the Italian riviera. The rooms are very nice - we were offered a choice between two rooms - both of which were nice - and we chose the larger one in the second floor. Although the room is really close to the main road, the room was very quite. Moreover, the room was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. They helped us with directions to Cinque Terre, and gave us an excellent recommendation for a great local restaurant in the area. Just few steps from the hotel, you can find a local brewery - with great bear and great food, in an affordable prices. We had a nice dinner there at our first night. Overall, this hotel is a great value for money! I would recommend it for everyone traveling to this area.

We had a warm welcome and shown to our room. The room was quite small but fine for our one night stop. Ensuite shower room was fine too. Good breakfast. We enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant at the brewery next door.

What a great little place!
This is a well restored very old hotel. The only down side is that there is a busy road next to it. You do not hear the road, but coming and going with Italian drivers requires some concentration. The staff could not be nicer, the room was clean and wonderful. It almost made me sad that we could not find more to see in the area, so we could have stayed longer. We were in Europe for six weeks and this place was one of the best.

Albergo Birra is a diamond in the rough!
I stayed at the Albergo Birra for a week this past February. The proprietors (Enrico and Antonio) go out of their way to make all their guests feel special. They assist with finding local restaurants that cater to your preference and give other recommendations for sight seeing, shopping, etc. This personalized service stands out way above the name brand chains. I will be returning to the area with my family in the near future and will be staying there again. The rooms are clean and cozy. Single rooms are nice. American travelers please note that the single beds are twin size. If you need a little more room pay for the upgrade and go to a double which is somewhere between a full and queen size bed. All rooms have HDTV's with SKY. Mini fridge are in the rooms and stocked with water, beer, coke, and juice. Bathrooms are huge and they include a full size shower. I do not believe any rooms have tubs though I did not inquire. There are no elevators so if you are travelling with lots of luggage, you will have to lug it up to your room. Enrico and Antonio both helped carrying extra luggage up and down. Breakfast service starts at 6am and runs until 10am. As I mentioned, management is very accommodating if you are late or early. It is a traditional Italian/European continental breakfast. Full service cafe is available with espresso and cappuccino's. The hotel does not have dine in capabilities but there is a restaurant/microbrewery on property. Guests get 10% off the bill.

Our first night in Italy...coming from Milan...this was a perfect stop, quiet, easy to find, and very accomodating for our wants and needs. Erico was very pleasant and made us feel at ease. Great suggestion for the resturant next door. Driving and parking easy.

En route from Torino to Cinque Terre, this was a perfect stopover. The drive was lovely and the place was easy to find. I booked a single room as I was travelling solo, which was perfectly adequate, space wise. The hotel was close to the lovely, bustling town of Busalla. Breakfast was good and plentiful and set me up for the day! They actually brew beer in the warehouse next door to the hotel building and there is a busy bar next door to that, serving the beer and a decent selection of food too. I can recommend the pale ale!

Awesome service
Owners double them self to help and to make sure all was perfect,room was large and comfortable, we where on the 2nd floor and facing the Birra restaurant, great food and home brew, not expensive. Also great breakfast in the morning. Great value for the price. 1 minute Close to the Genoa/Milan autobahn. No elevator, but luggage was brought up and down by the helper. Free internet connection provide. We will definitely return.
