"I loved this place and will definitely recommend everyone to stay here. This was at a very convenient, walkable distance from restaurants and touristic places. It was a nice, clean place and even tho the weather outside was cold, the room was nice and warm. It has a lovely vibe."

"We had the most wonderful stay. It was exquisite. Unbelievable how perfectly it has been preserved with 14th century stained glass and a view from a fairytale. We were welcomed warmly by David who is a gifted artist and the breakfast was fine dining. We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect stay and we’re grateful he shared his gorgeous home. Don’t hesitate to book. "

"Location was perfect, able to walk to all main sites, hotel just off main market square and canal with boat trips 1 min away. Staff at hotel excellent. Only minus if staying in guest house is there are no lifts and two flights of stairs but rooms are lovely."

"We had a lovely long weekend at Molenmeers. Sofie was very welcoming and had lots of recommendations for restaurants, bars, and things to do. The room was gorgeous and we had access to the library that overlooked the canal. Could not fault the experience. "

"Brilliant stay at this B&B as a family including our baby. We had plenty of space in our room and even had a smaller room joining in which we kept our luggage and our travel cot when our baby napped. The host was lovely and so helpful. She explained everything to us about breakfast service (which was so helpful for us as parents up super early and hungry). The host even provided a high chair for our baby. "Good location, nice clean property with modern furniture and beds. However, we were disappointed that the owners never contacted us prior to arriving, despite being told we would receive the code. The number listed on the Hotels.com is out of service. We managed to contact one owner by finding a phone number on another website. Not a great check-in system-this needs to be revamped before we can recommend."

"Nice, cute B&B. The owners are very polite and helpful and can give you a lot of tips. The rooms are comfortable and clean. For me the main issue was with the breakfast. As a family with young children, we like a rich breakfast with many options that can keep us going till late lunch. Unfortunately this was not the case. "Good facilities, good size for 6 people supermarket 5 minute walk away. Spa and pool excellent the kids loved it, well equipped kitchen. The only problem was the smoke detectors are very sensitive, there's one on the bathroom which was triggered by steam from the shower and one was set off by spray deodorant, so security show up and say there's a problem and you have to open the balcony door, not ideal in winter. Overall a good stay."

"No towels… must rent them. No hand soap in bathroom or kitchen. Bed is not made must make it yourself. Dead bugs on floor. Hallway area was run down and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We paid extra for an ocean view room and did have a great view and overall felt relatively safe. "

"I loved the age of the building, dating in parts from 1470, and fitting in with the historical architecture and atmosphere of Bruges. My spacious room overlooked the canal, which was a treat. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre and a perfect base for exploration on foot. The breakfast buffet selection is excellent. All the staff members I met were extremely helpful and friendly."

"Service and facilities can't be faulted. It was excellent and made my stay enjoyable. Besides the excellent service, it is affordable and well situated, being 10 minutes or so walk from most of the important sights and restaurants. The rail station is also a 15-20min walk away, while a bus stop/interchange is 5 minutes walk away. One downside noted was the strong smell of old sewerage pipes in a section of the corridor immediately after the reception desk. I appreciate that this often can be a problem in old buildings, but until this is fixed, I would recommend the hotel place some candles in the area, which should burn-off/mask the smell. Would I recommend the hotel, yes! "

"Sophie on the reception desk was fabulous. She provided loads of information on places to go and to eat. She also arranged an early check in for us. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast were friendly and efficient. Shame the bar was closed, but otherwise great. Thank you. "

Dukes’ Palace – by Dukes’ Hotel Collection

"We loved our stay at the Dukes palace. The hotel is very well located, the building is stunning and impressive. It’s very spacious inside with a fantastic central staircase. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and the checkin process being very easy. Our room allocation was fabulous and we had a great view. Would rate it higher but the spa facilities did not come included in the room rate which was a shame. Overall, fantastic and the only place to stay in Bruges!"
