"This house is beautiful and immaculate and the owner had thought of everything for all ages from high chairs and travel cots to a shower seat in the walk-in shower. The location was ideal to so many places. The owner is lovely and was quick to resolve any issues. Unfortunately the house itself seems to be the only part of the property that has been renovated and what will be a lovely fairy garden, replete with waterfalls, was marred by construction rubbish. "Amazing view. Everyone in the Hotel and the town are so welcoming. Only thing I have to say, not important, the room had too many furniture. Table and a wardrobe is more than ok. Most of us live off of our luggage. "

"Great hotel. Hotel room was lovely, comfortable beds, lovely and warm. Had carvery lunch on arrival amazing roast beef dinner. Our room was ready early so checked in straight away. Went for a swim which was amazing and not too deep for my son. Had breakfast which was amazing and back down for another swim before check out. All the staff were very accommodating and anything we needed they were happy to help. "

Probably the best hotel we've ever stayed in!

"From the moment we arrived we were very impressed with this hotel, grounds and surroundings. From the friendly doorman to Dermot the concierge who took our bags, ordered our taxis etc, to the lovely receptionists and that was before we took in the beautiful decor, comfort and layout of bars and restaurants and before we got to our bedroom which was more like a suite as was huge with a lovely view of the estate. The food was excellent and it was lovely to chill in the little bar area at reception where they have a musician at the weekends. The pool area was lovely too and the whole place is spotless. It's rare to find such a place where everything was perfect from start to finish and we can't wait to go back and stay for longer!"

"We came to Kilkea to celebrate our anniversary and could not have been more pleased! From the moment we walked through the castle doors, the staff was gracious and friendly. Everyone remembered our names…so it certainly had a Cheers from Boston vibe! From the front desk, the spa, the dining, the historical grounds, and bartenders at The Keep, what more could we have asked for. We can’t wait to be back! "
