This was such a quaint authentic German Gasthaus nestled in the heart of the Garmisch community. We were treated to traditional German food, live music, yodeling, and dancing during the evenings. Would recommend for anyone looking for the authentic thing!

What can you say after walking into an entrance with centuries of history and great paintings? Then the dining room has decades and decades of photos of local notables and sports heroes. Great place for dinner!! Notable 4-poster bed, most comfortable all trip and most romatic, too.

Great place! Barbara warmly greeted us upon our arrival. My room was lovely with an outdoor sitting area with beautiful views. Loved the location in historic Garmisch. Nice restaurants and shops in our street. We had breakfast one morning at the hotel and it was also great perfect to start our day. I would recommend and stay here again.

The wonderful hotel plus the restaurant and long term staff of this historic place were a wonderful addition to my ski trip. Getting a taxi instead of walking the 1.5 miles b with my ski gear to the train was a simple ask of the ownership. Great breakfast too.
