"The experience our family had at Black Rock Lodge exceeded anything I could have wished for. From the moment Fernando picked us up at the airport, we knew we were in for a good time. "My husband and I visited as the first part of our Anniversary trip. We were greeted by Eric at the airport immediately after our arrival and had a great ride to the resort. "I loved this. It is out of town so it is quiet and there is easy parking. It is on the way to Caracol so my tour operator picked me up. The tour operators know where it is and it was super safe. There is also a kitchen I didn't realize was onsite for guests only and you can pre-order breakfast and dinner. "

"The resort grounds are beautiful and the rooms comfortable. We were there for just overnight, so did not have the opportunity to check out all their amenities. Their restaurant provided a convenient place for our dinner and breakfast, but do not expect haught cuisine. I was a little miffed at their air-conditioning charge at $15US per night per bedroom."
