We went for the Christmas festival of Lights. I needed connecting rooms as we had our grandchildren. They upgraded us to a huge suite with a living room for a way below market price. Walking distance to many attractions, check in staff was friendly and helpful. Heated pool was possibly warmer than the hot tub unfortunately. Property was nicely decorated for Xmas. Stay was very enjoyable. Would recommend.

Negatives: smelly carpet in the ground (1st) floor around the ballroom, no breakfast included (ok, I should have noticed when booking), and on-site Starbucks closed at 10am, room was cold as hell when we arrived and the heating was so noisy we had to turn it off, very annoying.

The place is super nice. Very helpful and cheerful staff. Great food & menu. The concierge was not helpful, maybe I just showed up at a bad moment. We had to change plans when our sink stopped up, but staff got on the problem quickly. Impressive elevator service. The room was nice but not 5star nice. I feel like we way overpaid but options were few due to local events.

We stayed at Moody Gardens Oct 21-25. It was very quiet and staff were very friendly. The food was amazing. Only issue we had was getting ahold of room service to order the food. Would highly recommend for a family vacation.
