"We loved Dream Villa! It is a beautiful building right in the middle of Galle- you cannot ask for a better location! The room was great, big comfy bed and good a/c. Service was great (we checked in with a young guy who did not speak a lot of English but he was so nice and helpful) and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you Dream Villa!"

"Heaven in Sri Lanka. The space is just magical. You'll feel like you're in a private luxury jungle with an incredible view and pool. You can stay here for days indulging in complete relaxation and pleasure. The hosts are super attentive and don't forget to ask for a Sri Lankan breakfast, they are excellent cooks."

"The property never got our reservation, so showed up and no one was there. This, however, didn't appear to be Amara's fault. Ana was very apologetic and tried to make the most of it. Property is nice though, but it's more suited for a full rent out than just a couple looking for a get away."

"The staff was amazing the chef made some of the best food I have ever tasted!! He was very sweet and very involved in all aspects of the villas. "The house has a good location, easy to access the beach. The owner is super kind and helpful, we are vegan and asked for a vegan breakfast, they made every day different options and lots of fruits. "This house is virtually a step away from the sea and it feels like you have your very own small, private beach. A bit far from the town for bars and restaurants but a good small local restaurant two minutes walk away. Breakfast provided, by a woman that comes to the house and uses the kitchen. "Best place I stayed at during my trip. The only thing I might suggest is to add thin privacy curtains to rooms that look out onto the pool (rather than having to pull across the heavier curtains and blocking out the natural daylight. Other than that just about 10/10"

Basic hotel in need of renovation

"This hotel is a bit run down, it feels pretty basic and needs renovations (very poor flooring). Location is not great, both for distance to the real point of interest, which is Galle's fort, and for being in front of a busy road which is very noisy although at night we slept well (ie no or little traffic at night). It can also be difficult to find taxis at that location unless you use tuk tuks which seem to have a bizarre monopoly in the area. Staff was very helpful though. "

"The Galle Fort Hotel is a truly lovely boutique property set within the walls of Galle Fort. We stayed in the Grand Apartment room which was gorgeous with fabulous furnishings. The Bar and lounge areas are both lovely and the pool, loved the tiling, was a must to cool off. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was great, wasn't keen on their coffee bean but other than that faultless. All of the Staff are lovely however Shalimar stood out he was always there when needed, extremely helpful and a great character. "
