"We arrived at 15.30 in the afternoon on a gloriously beautiful day in Bergen. We were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and it took just a few minutes to check in and obtain our room keys. The Hotel is most definitely a world class 4 star hotel with all the amenities and service that you would expect from such a quality standard. The room was well appointed, spacious, quite and had an electric kettle, electric iron and ironing board, a mini refrigerator, wide screen TV, free Wi-Fi and, a small safe. The room was spotlessly clean, well aired and room temperature just fine. The windows could be opened too for added ventilation if required. The curtains were heavy drapes that kept the light out and were well fitted. The bed was very comfortable with high quality bedding and a firm mattresses topper. The pillows were firm as well and a good size as, many hotels in Norway provide half size pillows! There is an ice maker on each floor as well, a capsule coffee machine (or tea) in the lobby area, free to guests. The hotel is conveniently located near to the harbor as well as a an historical fortress with parkland located just 40 meters from the hotel. Our room rate included a substantial breakfast buffet served from 7am until 10am A selection of great tasting international dishes, smoked salmon too and of course, fresh pastries, assortment of freshly baked bread, bread rolls, croissants, fresh fruit etc. This is one of the best 4 star hotels I have ever stayed"

"This is a quiet, lovely, modern (on the inside) hotel near the harbor in Bergen. In Sept 2024, no further construction happening to wake us. No AC to speak of, but temps were cool enough for us to manage with the window open. Very spacious room, comfortable beds and excellent breakfast (compact but offering a lot of great, fresh items) We would gladly stay here again. Very walkable city - we took the light rail from the airport, then walked to the hotel, then on to our Hurtigurten cruise in the other harbor. One highlight - we swam and saunaed at the outdoor salt pool on the tip of the peninsula, about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Really enjoyed biking around to discover the town on the city bikes as well. "
