"Lovely restored home. Very nice owner and sweet (I believe Japanese) lady prepared and cooked our breakfast. Lots of snacks and refreshments. We were allowed to use an area in the fridge. No amenities in room but, everything we would want or need was just outside our door. Would love to stay again!"

"The rains definitely started to fall two days into our 3 day visit to Hilo and we desired to move from our relatively off-grid Hipcamp (which we loved!) into an actual hotel room with amenities. "This was booked last minute due to a last minute cancellation for another property. Beautiful property especially for the earthy type of individual. It was perfect for my needs however I don’t see people staying here that require more of an upscale type of setting. Leaving the room to use the community restroom is probably the only thing that was not too thrilling. All in all it fulfilled my expectations."
