"This felt like staying as a guest in someone’s home. Hosts Alessandra and Guido are very welcoming. The property is so beautiful overlooking the valley with mountains to the side. We did not know there was a pool which was a fantastic surprise as we arrived in a heatwave. Dinner was a delicious pork chop on the first night and roast beef on the second. "I did not know that breakfast area is open for summer only. So, we were given simple breakfast like jam, muffin, yogurts in the room. The stay was chosen because we were on the way from Pisa to Southern Tuscany so we needed 1 night stay. The staff were very friendly."

"This is the most amazing experience. We spent 5 days here. It is a little family run Agriturismo that is exactly what it states. No frills, but living as an Italian farming family would. Lovely pool on site which was a great bonus. The meals are fantastic, home cooked and very affordable. We will definitely rerun with our family for another stay! LOVED IT!!"

"We needed a place to stay in or near Vinci for the night before our 3 week stay in a nearby villa began. Il Piastrino looked lovely and was VERY well priced. And it was exceptionally nice—from the spacious, charming rooms (surprise—we had a kitchen), the delicious breakfast, to the warm and welcoming staff. We arrived very late toward the end of a busy pris fixe am fresco dinner service but we were settled in and set at ease. And yes, we returned a few days later for the al fresco dining. Wow....

Fantastic all-round

"Incredible facilities, rooms are cleaned really well, staff are always very attentive. To be able to access the grotta is a real highlight, it's an incredible place, much bigger than expected and the facilities are again outstanding. Spa had a lot of choice, the outdoor swimming pools were unexpected given we visited in December and it was never too busy, often it was just us. There are also lots of hiking options from just next to the property, starting from inside the hotel grounds. "
