"We checked in a bit late - around 10pm. The receptionist spoke poor English and struggled to get across important information to us. It became unclear what we were getting charged for and I had to use my translate app to work it all out. I know it sounds pretentious to expect German receptionists to speak great English, but we experienced better levels of English from almost every other German person we interacted with on our trip. "

"I missed the "s" in hostel, there were mostly college aged people there. You need to call ahead to reserve the limited on-site parking or use a parking garage a couple of blocks away. There is a lot of graffiti in the surrounding area which was off-putting. There are many eating choices nearby. Despite there being signs requesting quiet after 10pm, there was a group in the courtyard into the early morning hours that was not quiet and the voices carried up the walls.
