"Stopped off here on the way to Gironde, just 15 minutes off the motorway. (Alencon) Picturesque 1900 hotel in small village with seating area on pavement if good weather. Very warm & pleasant welcome from the manager who speaks very good English, nice salad evening meal & croissant, rolls, fresh fruit salad for breakfast at very reasonable cost. Nice & clean although dated. The only small thing stopping me awarding max points was shower was very weak water flow. Would definitely return...
