"This is one of the most quaint places I've stayed at. Building was built in early 1900's but has been refurbished inside with modern features but retains the old craftsman look and feel. Our room was larger than I expected. Bathroom was spacious and modern. The sink was smaller than expected but made sense actually. Extremely quiet. Monterey has very little activity. Still, it was a perfect place to stay because we were here to ride the Cass Scenic Railroad. The breakfast is definitely a highlight. Do order it when you make your reservations. The portions are large and every dish is wonderful."
