"Hotel is very stylish and modern, with a central location for coastline, bars and restaurants. The rooftop bar and pool has fantastic views over the area. All areas of the hotel are spotless. We didn't use the spa, so no comments on that. Breakfast was great, lots of choice, both hot and cold. Room was nice, but (small gripe)would have liked bedside tables and charging points there. "Brilliant breakfast. Central so we could easily walk to the market, cathedral restaurant area, marina. Lots of eateries around from cafes to higher end. On a side street so not a lot of traffic noise. Supermarket 3 min walk. Staff so friendly and helpful and serving staff brilliant, quietly super efficient. Room was very good, balcony, great shower. Cleaned every day. "

Real gem in Funchal

"This is excellent hotel, and we loved the building and the surrounding garden. It is not in the main area of large all inclusive hotels, but in a residential part of the city which made our Madeira experience more authentic. The walk to the center is easy, but I imagine it may be not that comfortable for someone with walking difficulties. We enjoyed our climb and had bo problem with it. The hotel garden is so well kept, gardener obviously doing good job. (And Sasha dog accompanying him) The views to Funchal and the ocean are also amazing. Our room was spacious and comfortable. What was a bit disturbing was the morning noise from the kitchen and the breakfast area. It would have been better if they kept the door to the kitchen closed. But the nights were silent and we could have a good rest. What is very special at the hotel is its staff, especially Jessica and Nuno at the reception, whose tips and assistance made our stay much easier. And also Delia from the accounting team who made our Madeira adventure memorable. "
