"Clean, comfortable hotel, quiet when we stayed there during low season, good location. Did not like the 4 pm check-in. Arrived at 1:30 pm. With no-one around, we used the code they sent to get into the reception. We were not able to get into the room, even though it was available. At 3 pm the receptionist arrived. Even though no-one else was around and we were obviously waiting, she did not offer to check us in until we asked if we can check in “early”, apparently as a favour. The rather late...

"If you’re looking for “fancy,” this is not it. If instead you are looking for something homey, charming, and authentically Bavarian, this is excellent. Three other details: First, it’s worth noting that this is not remote, like the pictures might make you think; it’s on the main road that passes through the town, and there is mild noise of cars with your window open. Second, the pool is a community pool about a 20 minute walk away in the same small town. It’s very nice, and I recommend it. Lastly, you have GOT to hike on the trails that start near the train tracks just up the hill. The views are spectacular. "
