"Stefano clearly goes way out of his way to help his guests. Saw him helping guests with a Sicilian rental car agency that required much diplomacy. Breakfasts were wonderful, very unique savory and sweet options. Was able to arrange for laundry, very needed after 8 days of travel. Very knowledgeable about Siracusa."

"The rooms were large and comfortable and breakfast was adequate. Parking will be an issue during peak holiday season. And, accessing the property in a large vehicle will be impossible since the road is SO NARROW. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and we were able to walk everywhere within Avola. Most restaurants were already closed for the season when we visited in early Nov so bear that in mind if you plan to visit during the off season."

"Excellent location in centre of Ortigia surrounded by beautiful architecture. Wide range of restaurants just outside and right next to Duomo Piazza. Despite this, no noise disturbance. "We lucked out finding this place for a couple of nights. The room was fabulous! We especially enjoyed the patio with comfy chairs We enjoyed the last two days of warm sunny weather at the end of the season. We had to venture to neighboring villages for dinner as the closing season saw Fontane Bianche grew quiet. The breakfast service was lovely. I would like to see more towel bars...this seems an issue with plenty of hotels. I would recommend this resort hotel to all my friends."

Okay- perhaps too early in season

"place okay. Bit early in season. Everything at the accommodation closed at 7pm. Didn’t open again until breakfast at 0730am. Nowhere else to hang as main reception area closed at 1930so confined to pokey room or outside in cold. We were offered a bigger better room at an extra 20e a night on check in which came over as ours was bit rubbish! -which it was ! It was a 15 min drive to Avola on a dodgy road. Little to see in Avola - sea front area was ok but little there due to time of year. Room was small with fridge that hummed heavily so had to switch off. Bed was uncomfortable for two with cheap memory foam mattress that had clearly lost its memory due to the high number of folk who’d slept on it. Pool area good. generally site looked jaded and tired. Wouldn’t hurt to have a few more signs to direct to location. Buffet breakfast okay. Stayed 2 nights. Location good for Noto / Modica/ Ragusa. But be better staying in one of those places in my opinion. Most reviews not for April but later in year - "
