"Nice place. A bit pressed on arrival time - reception close at 8 pm, and we came from mid-Croatia with a lot of traffic problems. No restaurant at the hotel, but we were recommended at really nice restaurant near-by."

"The staff was nice. I won't use this site to book if we stay again. We had the squeeky bed in the diagonal room. The other rooms looked better. Book with them. Beautiful surroundings. Dinner was awesome and breakfast was great, with made to order eggs. Cooked correctly. (That's hard to find) No fan I guess and so that means open windows. Summer can get hot!"

"There were flies everywhere. All over the lobby, the kids play area, the dining area, and the food bar. Completely unsanitary. If I knew how to make a complaint to the Austrian Health Ministry I would. Excuses ranged from claiming not to notice, to blaming it on the season, to asserting the hotel had tried everything even though I never saw one fan, barrier, or other attempt to protect the food. "Our stay at Alpina Wagrain was one of the most enjoyable experiences we’ve ever had. The property is nestled between mountain ranges, offering breathtaking panoramic views. I was absolutely stunned by the beauty of the view from our bedroom window. However, what truly stood out to us was the exceptional attitude of the staff. As a family-owned hotel, they have a remarkable way of caring for their guests. We were there for hiking, and they took the time to help us with hiking routes and even recommended a great restaurant. The people are absolutely amazing—they truly understand hospitality, and it’s clear that guest satisfaction is their top priority. Another highlight of our stay was the breakfast selection. As vegetarians, we were thrilled with the variety of options available. There was an abundance of fresh fruit, Alpro yogurts, and a selection of healthy seeds—it was heaven for us. The coffee was also delicious. We would love to return to Alpina Wagrain in the future. We deeply appreciate their hospitality and the wonderful food offerings."

"This was our first time visiting Austria and we were not disappointed! As a family of four with two children age 6 and 10 the location of the hotel and the facilities offered by the hotel was second to none. Specifically the included pool pass to the local water park was outstanding. The safe environment of the hotel and the local area meant it was the first time we felt that we could leave the kids somewhat unattended and meant we could properly relax. All local amenities are in walking distance, (snow lifts, walks up the mountains, local shops). Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and tidy with ample space, two separate bathrooms was a welcomed surprise! We did the all inclusive option but there is plenty of utilities to do self catering if you prefer (oven, hob, fridge, freezer etc). Perhaps the only negative, but this is probably the case with all holidays, the all inclusive option was very good but the buffet did get a bit tedious towards the end. One recommendation for the hotel would be to improve their coffee and offer oat milk, but that is because we are coffee snobs. All in all this was such an amazing experience and would we come back……it’s a huge yes from us! "

"Our only complaint was that one week here was not enough! We stayed for one week July/Aug 2024. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The bread service is such a nice extra perk! The kids loved the waterpark. The area is full of too many things to do! The kitchen had all we needed to eat in as often as we wanted. I couldn’t complain about anything but having to leave. "
