We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is super convenient, with many attractions within walking distance. The area is also nice and quiet at night, so we got a really good night’s sleep. What surprised us the most was that it was my partner’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared an aperitif for us, making us feel so welcomed. Huge thanks to the team for such a memorable stay—can’t recommend it enough!

Madison du Sage has beautiful rooms with an excellent breakfast served in the morning by a very friendly staff. Every night we came back to a sparkling clean room. The AC and bedding were perfect. I would recommend a “sleep sound” machine for those of you who end up in the rooms that have a window adjacent to a bar on the street below. But the white noise machine canceled anything we may have heard and we slept great every night. I highly recommend this hotel also for its location next to the beautiful Santa Croce church, a must see when you are in Florence.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and a beautiful and spacious room in a great location. Large double sink, but no counter space which made make-up application and hairstyling difficult, bit would definitely stay again!

We got upgraded complimentary to a beautiful room with a view of the Basilica of Santa Croce - it was amazing. The staff were really helpful and friendly. My only comment would be the breakfast was very limited and there was only one member of staff on duty to manage the requests. There was very little to go around. Other than this, it was a very pleasant visit and we’d come back again.

It was unclear initially how to check in since the reception desk is up a twisted stairway and not clear from the signage. This should be rectified. Also, breakfast is lovely if you get there early enough, before they start to run out of things...then they do not replenish. Annoying. Otherwise, all great. Would stay here again!

La Maison du Sage was a beautiful hotel. It was comfy but also had a lovely charm. There were little touches, such as toiletries, slippers, and a desk that made my home away from home perfect. There were some appliance issues, such as my toilet seat being disconnected a bit from the toilet, and the issue of water coming out the shower no matter which shower head I chose. Overall, those did not deter from my stay. I was solo traveling and the room was wayyy bigger than I was expecting for a typical Italian hotel. Also, the location (right in Piazza de Santa Croce) was amazing.

Great stay in a great area.
Very nice hotel less than a block from Santa Croce and minutes walk to pretty much everything you’re going to want to see on your first visit to Florence. We stayed here because it’s a more quiet (but definitely still lively) neighborhood on the southeast edge of city center. We had a jr suite which was huge (550sq ft) with a full living/dining room and kitchen. Bathroom was well appointed, plenty of hot water. We a slight issue with getting the air conditioner down to the level we wanted. This may have been simple an issue of having a larger room and more space to cover. We had it running at full blast (17 Celsius) but it never got below 23 on the thermostat. It was comfortable enough though and we didn’t even bother to report it to the staff who I’m sure would have looked into it. Overall, this was a wonderful stay and i totally would stay here again if/when in Florence.
