"It was a beautiful location. The cottages are well equipped. There was a bit of a musty smell. I think that could have been the carpets in the bedrooms and sitting area. Wooden floors would be more hygienic. Having the hotel so close was the effect for the leisure centre and bar! A great weekend all considered and I will be back!"

"The house is even more lovely than the pictures. Spacious, well decorated and kitted out and very clean. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and beds and bedding very comfortable with lots of natural light and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The country kitchen is lovely and spacious and very well kitted out. Kate had very kindly left us delicious home baked scones, butter, milk and even some jam. "Our stay at the Cosy Pod was great, the site has a lovely atmosphere where you can sit round a fire while others around do the same. Would recommend to anyone, also the personal attention from the owner Helina to make sure you enjoy your stay."

"Loved the location, quiet and lovely grounds. Was quite far from any towns, so if that is important, it might be something to consider. Not enough towels. Tiny kitchen area. All bedrooms and the only bathroom were all up a huge flight of stairs and the beds were very uncomfortable. Very pricey for what was offered. Would get unaffordable quickly if you stayed for very long. But it was a lovely home in a lovely area and very quiet and clean. "

"A beautiful setting spoilt by some unseasonal bad weather. Slept very well - felt safe and secure and hut comfortable but would have liked more shelving to put belongings out and had hooks but no coathangers! Would book again."

"The Ardgort House is a delightful step back in history - a lovely manor home with modern conveniences. Our host, John, maintains the property inside and out with care - from the fountain out front to the cleanliness of the rooms. The inn is a walkable distance from the village of Castlederg which has all the basic necessities. (Evening dining options are limited, and the Ardgort House Bar and Restaurant are not currently in operation.) John provides a warm fire in the woodstove in the evenings and is a delightful conversationalist. In the mornings, he prepares and serves a delicious full Irish breakfast or variations on it as requested by the lodger per breakfast menu the evening before. We would gladly stay here again. "

Great Staff

"The staff, especially Robert were really friendly, hospitality and nothing was too much for them to do every request was replied with “no bother”. We arrived earlier than the check in time and as the room was ready they checked us in. They also allowed us an extra 30 minutes late check out. The breakfast was very delicious, the smoothie was made with banana but the chefs were happy to make one for me with bananas. Overall it’s was a good stay. The staff’s pleasantness was the best. "
