"Really awesome little surf house and surf school in Hermanus . Sarah the owner really took care of all our needs and organised all our surfing lessons and a very special whale boat trip to see the southern wright whales. The surf house is just a short walk into the town centre along the beautifull ocean cliff path walk . Highly recommended and will back for sure some day !"

"We had the best time at the Whale on Main! Communication was excellent, we were welcomed so warmly by the host (including a glass of Gluhwein!), and she even upgraded our room at no cost! Fantastic local recommendations, cute little honest bar, great reading options, and an OUTSTANDING breakfast cooked to order! Attention to detail was everywhere and we can't say enough about this place. It was just fantastic! Our only complaint is that we only stayed the one night. Thank you for everything! During whale season - you can see whales out in the bay from your room. Wonderful and gracious service. Excellent breakfast’s and spectacular art work throughout the property.
