"There's a lot of 1922 still alive at this hotel, and that is a joy. The place is a little rough around the edges and the glory days are clearly behind it, but the price reflects that, in that you are paying a mid-level chain price for what used to be a bustling luxury hotel full of bell boys and social life. The bar and Rib Room restaurant are shuttered and staff is at a minimum, though they are very friendly and appreciative of the history. The hotel room walls are paper thin, but we took this in stride in order to experience something much more interesting than a run of the mill chain hotel. A noisy guest in an adjacent room could ruin your stay here, but the place has so much character and history that it is worth the risk. If the history of Eureka is of interest to you, this is a great option."
