"We've been only for one night here but been surprised been the friendliness right at the check in which continued thru the whole stay. We arrived after the evening buffet was closed but the service personal served us toast and beer. Great breakfast. Somehow private beach (sand). Nice pool area and we had a big nice room. "We absolutely loved the New Aurora Apartments. The rooms were super spacious, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything we could need. The parking was easy as well. We were close to numerous cafes, shops and restaurants so didn’t have to go far for food etc. It was also a short walk to a lovely secluded beach. It is a definitely somewhere we would come back to in a heartbeat. "

"As we checked in we were given a room with non functional AC and stains on the sheets. Smelled like old. At the second day we were changed in a better room with much better AC and better cleansed. Rooms are generally very small and bathrooms are unusual tight. Food was excellent and more than enough. "

"Overall this was a nice stay, the hotel has been designed and built very well. It's built on the side of a hill and as such, the higher you go, the better the view. The view over Ierapetra city at night is amazing. The only comment on the room is that the lighting could do with being better at the bathroom mirror and the wardrobe needs more shelves / drawers. We got a warm welcome on check in but rarely got a welcome at other times. Often no acknowledgement of arriving for breakfast or dinner....

"The hotel itself is lovely, very modern, impeccably clean. W loved the little private beach as the sea was a perfect temperature! The only negative is every day between 12-3pm a DJ plays banging “Ibiza tunes” and you cant get away from it. It is such a strange vibe as most people there when we were there were of an older generation and every time he started up there were groans from everyone around us!! You couldn’t escape the sound- we could hear it on the beach! We were half board and food...

Only issue we had was the number of stray cats around the hotel, who can be too friendly and don't give you any piece when lounging around the pools. It's not pleasant to be sunbathing when a cat jumps on you and sticks their claws into you!!"
