"Our villa faced the pool and was within walking distance to the beach as well. Our villa was spotless and spacious. Each villa had their own private outdoor shower. My only issue was the mattress wasn't firm but other than that our villa was fine. The staff were all helpful and friendly. You can hire snorkeling gear, paddle board, read a book or swim in the pool. We hired a car but I think there's a shuttle from the airport that can be arranged with the resort. "Obviously new rooms but amenities were still being developed. Great staff make up for this. Found both service charges and rooms quite pricey after being in Kuala Lumpar 5 Star hotels and were a lot cheaper than Sheraton Aggies. Found booking by internet Expedia cheaper than if you book by telephone or locally. At least a third cheaper, I asked they couldn’t explain why?"

"Had a fantastic time. Reception manned 24hrs and all the staff were very helpful and answered any questions we had. Breakfast was delicious, different every day including local dishes. Room was nice and cool, had a fridge to keep drinks cold and kettle to make tea or coffee. TV had a choice of channels. Room cleaned daily. Had a patio to sit outside with chairs and table. Also could sit by or swim in pool."

"The staff were very friendly and accommodating; the breakfast was good - everything from toast and eggs to cerral and fruit. The room was clean and comfortable. Perhaps the pool could use a little upgrading (broken tiles, cleaning around the tiles), but the pool water was clean for swimming. "

"The Lava Hotel is lovely place to stay. The Staff is welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The food is delicious. There is live entertainment on certain days. The location is in a village which gives the atmosphere you would want when trying to be absorbed in the Samoan culture. From the island’s warm breeze to its beautiful surroundings, you would be transported to tranquility. I highly recommend this hotel to any travelers looking for authenticity. "

"Moatoga is not bad afterall. The aircon and hot water were our most important things and the staff were helpful. We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay.
