Not really a castle, over priced
I stayed here because it was a castle. However, the castle has been converted into apartments so you cannot visit the interior of the castle and the B & B feels like anywhere else. So, you don’t really get a “castle” experience. The area is fairly empty so there is nothing but the autostradle close by. There is one restaurant which the owner recommended but it was terrible food-cheap, though. The accommodation is clean and nice, but simple. Normally this level would go for half the price, but I paid the extra thinking I would have a castle experience. The breakfast was not good, almost all store bought items. It’s self service, there is coffee and tea, but you’re not going to get a filling breakfast. Also, the owner does not live on the property so it lacks the service/intimacy that a typical B & B offers. If you are in the area, it’s a good option, but don’t drive out of your way to stay here as I did.

We booked this stay thinking of having a real castle experience but it was not quite what we expected. We couldn't connect to the internet and breakfast did not impress us.

Castle retreat
Spent two incredible days exploring the surrounding hill towns using Fabro as our home base. Views from the top of the castle were breathtaking.

Great stay in the clouds
This is a 1000 year or more castle location at the summit of Fabro. Like all Italian towns in this area, Fabro is perched on top of a small mountain, so this b&b is like being on top of the world! our room was a bit tiny and dark, but quite comfortable nonetheless. Luca and Simona were wonderful hosts, fantastic to talk to, and ready to help with whatever we needed. I'd return to this castle hideaway in the sky anytime!

Sosta per la notte in un viaggio di trasferimento. Posto molto caratteristico e pieno di fascino, servizio puntuale, pulizia, splendida vista la mattina dopo anche grazie al tempo splendido. Da tornarci.

Se si opta per un bel and breakfast ci si aspetta pulizia, ordine e dotazioni funzionanti: qui c’è solo la location che è bellisssima. Le cose per la colazione, tipo fette biscottate, erano già state usate e quindi con la confezione aperta. La presa elettrica viene via quando estrai la spina, la luce in camera è più bassa di una candela e polvere e sporcizia ovunque. Non ritornerò.

Posto tranquillo e che ti porta a tempi passati. Servizio scadente per la prima colazione, povera e con ciambelle caserecce e crostate, tagliate a fette, su un piatto da portata, per nulla fresche. Niente pane fresco o companatico attraente. Secondo giorno preso un caffè scadente e poi fatta colazione al bar, in piazzetta. Ottimo il cappuccino e anche i cornetti. Bagnoschiuma un poco razionato.

piacevolissimo weekend
Il B&B è situato all'interno di un castello ristrutturato. Si arriva tramite una piacevole scalinata. L'ambiente interno rimane un po' buio, ben curato, con qualche idea originale. La vista è spettacolare da qualsiasi finestra. La colazione, a buffet, è varia ed abbondante. Luca, il proprietario, è simpatico, piacevole e cortese. Insomma ci si sente a casa.

ma che bel castello...
bella la location, unico posto per dormire dentro Fabro durante la sagra del tartufo. ambiente di recupero molto carino, ma.... 1 il proprietario, cortese al telefono, non abita in paese ma viene da Roma nel we; lascia ad una gentile signora le incombenze per gli ospiti (colazione, ecc) ma se hai un problema, come nel nostro caso, la cosa si complica.. 2 arriviamo venerdì sera e nella notte si guasta il riscaldamento; . Si dorme con maglione e cappello e la mattina niente acqua calda. la sigra che viene per le colazioni cerca di chiamare per aiuto ma non si risolve nulla, poco male oggi si va alle terme senza nemmeno lavarci il viso.. 3 alle terme avremmo diritto ad uno sconto per convenzione del BB. La sigra cerca il voucher, dopo molta fatica lo trova, peccato che sia scaduto nel 2013 e rimediamo anche una brutta figura alla reception del centro termale cui lo mostriamo... comunque niente sconto. 4 nel pomeriggio quando torniamo è arrivato il proprietario ma la caldaia non è stata aggiustata per mancanza di pezzo di ricambio. Ci offre più coperte, chiediamo una stufetta, ci dice che ne ha solo una. peccato che noi abbiamo 2 camere...chiedere ad un amico in paese nooo? 5 seconda mattina seconda acqua fredda, non ci si lava di nuovo dopo la seconda notte infreddolita 6 scendiamo per la colazione nell'acquaio sono ancora presenti le tazze della mattina prima. 7alla richiesta di un minimo sconto ci dice la prossima volta.... QUALE PROSSIMA VOLTA?? e sono finiti i caratteri..

Luogo accogliente inserito in una piacevole cornice. A primo impatto può sembrare di immergersi in mezzo al nulla. Ma vi assicuro che non è così. Locali piccoli ma molto accoglienti, inseriti in una location suggestiva. La posizione è veramente strategica. Personale molto gradevole, il proprietario è veramente un grande. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo. Da riprovare e consigliare.

B&b situato in una posizione davvero caratteristica. Proprietari gentili e simpatici. Camera con soppalco spaziosa, magari non adatta a famiglie con bambini piccoli, ma molto carina e pulita.
