"The hotel was clean and comfortable, although quite hot due to the weather and no AC. Despite being near a main road it was quiet, although deliveries to a nearby business was quite loud on a couple of mornings. The single room I had was a good size but the bathroom was tiny. Breakfast was amazing with a great continental selection. The staff at the hotel were extremely informative when I checked in and very friendly throughout my stay. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station and Old Town. There is also good public transport connections nearby."

My room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with items that made traveling easier and more comfortable. The location is also fantastic—just a short 6-minute walk to Lucerne’s charming Old Town. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!"

"We have stayed in some pretty special places but the Grand National Hotel has been right at the top of them. The staff, especially Tim Oberli in the front office, was attentive and helpful. We would definitely recommend a stay here. "

"Though the hotel room is small in size, it has every thing. The breakfast was excellent. First time, we reached to the hotel by walking. It takes 10-8 min from the Luzern Station. Hotel provides a free bus card for the more convenience. Bus Stop is across from the hotel. There is a convenience store next to the hotel and some other restaurants. There is pizza/pasta and bar close to the hotel (across from the gas station) which opens until 11:00 pm. I like the hotel"

"Fantastic stay, in a beautiful location with easy transport links. Room was perfect with an amazing lake view. Lovely food and service in the bar area, but had some issues with dining room in main restaurant, this was addressed effectively at reception. Overall a fantastic stay."

"We were originally booked in Lucerne, but after a less-than-ideal hotel experience, we made a last-minute switch to Villa Honegg—and it did not disappoint. Perched high on a hill, the staff greeted us with warmth and impeccable service from the moment we arrived. The views were breathtaking, and even our mountainside room felt serene and luxurious. Amenities: 5 stars. Food: 5 stars (dinner and breakfast were both exceptional). Staff: 5 stars. And yes—there’s a distinct cow scent drifting off the veranda (welcome to the Swiss Alps!), but you quickly get used to it. Overall, a truly memorable stay and one we’d return to in a heartbeat."
