"My initial impression was dubious but on entering the building I was amazed at the beautiful and unique layout of the property. Although my bedroom (#4) was rather small, I was impressed by the high quality of the decorations. The shower facility was of a high standard. The rooftop terrace has been refurbished into a “chill out” area giving wonderful 360 degree views of the surroundings including a view of the distant castle. This area is conducive to getting to know your fellow guests late...

"Pleasant rustic hotel in good location at side of lake, ample free parking. Room quite large with plenty of storage space. We booked room with lake view, can be noisy as this also looks over bar and restaurant. Breakfast adequate continental, dinner in restaurant very good. Downside is basic maintenance, worn lock on bedroom door, creaking doors, wardrobe door would not stay closed, toilet system flush required replacing, reported no WiFi in bedroom for 3 days finally working on day we departed."

"Everything was great. Easy checkin and checkout. Breakfast option always available. Secure but Easy in/out capability. We used it as a central hub for easy access to Seville, Cádiz, Gibraltar and Tarifa via highways. Just loved this place. "

"This is the best place to stay after busy and loud crowds of the city. Alfonso is the most gracious of hosts and has built a beautiful home with six guest rooms that each have their own bathrooms, all situated around an inner courtyard. Dinner was excellent…one of the best meals I’ve had in awhile. The room was comfortable and I loved the wooden shutters that blocked all the light out. Very peaceful and quiet. Add to that a MOST welcoming and pleasantly UPBEAT staff, and one knows that THIS, the stay at the Parador de Arcos will never be forgotten. As evening fell: The dogs were Barking, The doves were Flying, The storks were Nesting, and WE... were Resting."

"This was an outstanding stay front the minute we arrived. We opened the door to a bright, spacious, spotless mini apartment. Anything’s needed like a corkscrew was happily provided t the front desk. The breakfast was plentiful wit choices of coffee, juices breads pastries cheese meats and toaster. Housekeeping was outstanding allowing us to return to a spotless room every evening. We saved a forte by staying here and easily took the #3 but thee d of the street straight to the historic city centre for less than £2"
