El Gran Teatro Falla is a 19th-century structure in the heart of the Old Town of Cádiz. Located on the site of its previous incarnation, the theater is built in the Neo-Mudéjar style with red bricks and grand arches. Note that the theater takes its name from local composer Manuel de Falla, who blended Andalusian folk music and flamenco. He is generally considered among Spain’s most important 20th-century musicians. The complex was built on the spot of a former wooden theater that burned down.
