"This was an excellent break from exploring big cities, and exactly what our family of five needed. Lutz and his wife were spectacular hosts, and worked to always ensure we had a relaxing time. From helping with access to the national park to a glass to go with our bottle of wine - always helpful. It was also remarkably affordable. We rented a 6 bed room which never felt small or cramped. Just 3 min walk to the Elbe park with playground, stop for boats and ferries, 2 min walk to the bus, 8 min to the train… the perfect spot to explore the Saxony Switzerland area by foot, bike…"

"We arrived by train which was less than ideal as it is up a steep hill. Best to come by car. Having arrived there it was an ideal retreat and handy for a visit to the Bastion Bridge. Also has great views over Saxony Switzerland."

"Great location for innumerable hikes and all kinds of biking. Amazing food, simple but spacious room. No toiletries except for a bar soap. Bathroom tiny but sufficient. A kettle to make coffee/tea would be nice. If driving, go via Hinterhelmsdorf and do not follow google maps as those lead through almost impassable backroads. "
