Generally, the hotel staff are courteous and polite. But there are no intercom or telephone in the rooms. The rooms are not cleaned everyday or while the guest was there. All my three nights my room was not cleaned or the bed spread changed once. The cost per night is also on the high side considering the services and the foods are very expensive with the quality and quantity of food to be servered.

For a cheap no frills hotel i cant complain. Sure there is some signs of the fixtures being dated but i just needed a room with a bed and shower and thats exactly what they got. staff were friendly and service was great.

This hotel seems to be stuck in the 80s. Last minute booking as I had booked the wrong night at a Premier Inn, so took what we could get, but it certainly wasn’t up to the standard of a Premier Inn or even a Travelodge, but cost about 3 times as much. Granted, it was extremely last minute booking, on a Saturday night on a rugby weekend in Edinburgh but excessive cost for the quality. Only one pillow each. Saying that, everything was really clean, nice towels and toiletries. Reception staff quite unfriendly. Sorry, but everything needs a huge modernisation especially at the price.

We were told there was parking, not limited parking and it was £7.50 per day. The boiler was noisy effecting sleep. Room was cold, dovet wast the right size for the bed. Rooms were clean. At breakfast the trays wernt replenished enough, coffe machine was out of order..the hot water was cold. Staff seemed disinterested. We just expected more for the money we paid.

Although we dint eat a the hotel as we used it just as an overnight stopover food smelt wonderful and was an excellent well presented range catering for all needs .The location was great the only was whennon the approach i would of expected to approach from the front and not the rear was a pleasent surprise as we went down the slipway though .

Sadly a very tired old property . I wanted to see the room before I checked in and was told I’d have to pay first . The room smelled badly of cheesy feet but I was able to open a window latch as on ground floor . There was a stand alone mini fridge which when opened stank of old rotten milk -hadn’t been cleaned . The coffee / tea and toiletries were of poor quality . The bedding and towels were very clean and adequate . There was black mould on the grouting in the shower . I had a room of 3 single beds and ended up trying all 3 as first one was do hard and uncomfortable I couldn’t sleep . I was happy to see a kettle in the room . Laura the new general manager was super helpful with my debrief and there is work pending to the bathrooms . The taxi I pre ordered the night before didn’t turn up so the manager helped me ring another company . The place was very busy with coach tours and the visitors seemed happy . I did not have breakfast .
