Really the hotel is very clean and neat and the room is spacious with clean bathroom , I would like to suggest adding flexible bidet sprayer to the bathtub. Also the price is very good comparing with hotel level . Thanks Sweet Chestnut.

No breakfast available for xmas morning and pub shut at 8. no chair in room no net curtains looked straight out onto car park. Shower was appalling . Very disappointed no one to tell as reception was in pub and pub was shut.

A bit old and rundown, but it did us for what we needed it for, it’s very close to lots of dining options, bowling, bingo, cinema etc, there is no 24 hour reception. They are based at the sweet chestnut next door in the restaurant. There is no accessible lift either so if you end up on the second floor, you have to take the stairs, which isn’t great with two toddlers and two buggies.

Had a great comfortable 5 nught stay. Room was clean. Very quiet and safe feeling environment, staff we came into contact were very friendly and every songle one greeted us. No request was too much. Only negatives,- could do with a freshen up with walls a bit stained and a few holes (not expecribg perfection) Table we sat at for breakfast had a sticky layer that was scrapable, and the wall next to the tanle had sometiing spilled down it that looked to have been left to run down the wall.

I arrived on Oct 21-2024 straight from LAX at 8am. They accommodated me and my wife ASAP right on the spot no questions asked. The place is super close to Edinburgh Castle and the best of town @ 20 minutes by bus. Bus station is about 100yds and they have service almost 24 hours to the airport. You"ll save a lot and don't need UBER.
