The bed was so cozy and comfortable. The room was quiet, easy to relax. The hot tub was a special treat after a busy day. A microwave and fridge was great, I always end up with leftovers. There are restaurants with delicious food close enough to walk to. The staff is wonderful, friendly and welcoming. The room has a lot of space to store extra clothes, etc, instead of storing in the suitcase. I recommend staying at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Dubuque, IA. There are many things to do in the area. It’s a beautiful city.

We were very happy with our stay. Our room and bed were great. The staff were courteous. The breakfast was good considering the price of our stay. We enjoyed the treadmills in the workout room. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that the exit on our end of the building had a door that was broken and would only close if you pushed it closed. We saw it open numerous times which allowed cold air in and was a security risk. I mentioned it to management and they said they had people coming to fix it the next day, but the three days we were there we found it open multiple times. Apart from that issue we had a great stay and no complaints.

Don’t get me wrong, the hotel wasn’t horrible. But for the price, it was not what I would call a value. The cost was the same as a Hampton Inn , but nowhere near as nice or accommodating. We had to use the foldout and there were no pillows for it. We asked for pillows and it was like we asked for a lobster dinner. Plus, we didn’t get the pillows The halls smelled like mothballs and they really could work on some maintenance issues. Location is great but we they need to work on hospitality.

I usually stay at Country Inns. This one is not as nice. The elevator makes a screeching noise that makes you wonder if you aren’t going to make it back out. The lobby is sparse, with cheap furniture, and not much of it. I’ve stayed there twice because I needed to be in that area, but I would stay elsewhere from now on. There were pills on the floor of my room, and a couple small paper wrappers that would be impossible to miss if you were cleaning. It lacks friendliness and warmth.
