Normally a nice stay
"I’ve stayed here a few times and the hotel itself is lovely, but on this occasion my room stank of cigarette smoke for 3 days straight, couldn’t get away from the smell, as an asthmatic I wasn’t happy the hotel let this happen"

"Beautiful location overlooking Lough Swillly. Golf course and beach are 2 minutes away. Loved staying at the house with great facilities and really comfortable beds. Liam is a very accommodating host, always available and checking that we had all that we needed. Highly recommended!"

Downings is one of the most scenic areas in Ireland . Two good hotels with entertainment and several cafes and beautiful beach . But that is about it . Great for outdoor people ,walking cycling, swimming etc if you are lucky enough to get sun .

A very friendly laid back village. Everything is very accessible on foot, lovely coffee shops, ice cream shop and eateries. Beach very safe for children though beware of driving your car on to the beach as we watched many vehicles getting stuck.
